Eerie but peaceful scene at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston South Carolina. Magnolia was first opened in 1850 in rural Charleston. It's landscaped, has paths and ponds and green space. Most of the graves and monuments are in perpetual care. In the Victorian Era, families would go visit their lost loved ones and have picnics and play. That may seem quite strange by today's standards, but I think that was pretty neat way of life while it lasted. Seems like a fine way to honor the dead and not forget about them.
